Historic   Frenchtown   District

Saint Charles, MO

Welcome

Frenchtown is perhaps the most eclectic and unique of St. Charles' 4 historic neighborhoods! It was founded by French Settlers in 1769. On March 14th, 1991, the Frenchtown District of St. Charles, Missouri became a National Trust Historic District. The Historic Frenchtown Association is diligently working to revitalize the area.

Recent improvements include many new decorative stop signs and boundary markers.   The organization is accomplishing one goal after another thanks to our many visitors, volunteers, and supporters.

May you, like earlier visitors and settlers, find those threads which pull us back in time and create a tapestry of people, places and events which you can make your own. Enjoy!
