The Historic Frenchtown Associated is a local non-profit organization dedicated to keeping Frenchtown a great place to live
and work.  We host, sponsor or participate in many activities throughout the year.  This is our sixth year running the popular Friday Night Flicks and June will once again bring our annual yard sale.  Our volunteers beautify the neighborhood by planting trees on 2nd Street and help with the city’s neighborhood bulk trash cleanup and electronics recycling programs. This fall will bring our fifth annual Dogtoberfest and we celebrate our heritage with a potluck party and Mardi Gras parade in at the end of winter.

This year looks to be an exciting year for Frenchtown as well.  The newly named Ecopark Trailhead Park with gorgeous gazebo in the 1800 block of North 2nd Street will once again host Friday Night Flicks.  In addition to the activities we normally have through the year, we are hoping to include new ones such as, a historic house and garden tour, a local farmers market and a10K race.

The Association also is a very active liaison in our local government with HFA member representatives appointed by the Mayor serving on the Landmarks Board and Convention and Visitor’s Board.  Our board also meets monthly with the directors of the city’s Community Development Department to work for our unique interests.  And we are recognized by the Mayor and City Council as the voice of the Frenchtown District.

If you would like to add your voice to help Frenchtown become an even better, we can help. Becoming a member is
easy.  Dues are only $12 a year for a family.  Our meetings are the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Frenchtown Heritage Museum, 1121 N 2nd Street at 7pm.  Please support your neighborhood and become a member of your neighborhood association.

The more of us there are, the more we can do!
